The pattern of waveforms in December is highly changeable and hard to stuff into pidgeonholes. The shifts within a single day, let alone day to day, can be quite marked. It seems the first half of the month is relatively quiet, with a mild planetary storm of about a week's duration -- nothing spectacular. After a brief lull, the waveforms kick into high gear around the 17th and much of the rest of the month operates at this level. Nonetheless, if these storms had been better organized, I'm sure they could have had a much stronger impact on us. Taking the volatility of the waveforms into account, I'd tentatively say there are 5 distinct patterns to consider.

The 1st to the 2nd is a brief continuation of the transition period that ended November. The waveform is quite weak these days, displaying only 319 to 408 units of strength. The harmonics are a messy mixture of H48, H24 and H12 -- mostly rough, stressful and distracting. What little emphasis there is in these graphs is focused at 9 to 10, 28 and 17 degrees of each zodiac sign. Check if these degrees hit any important positions in your own birthchart. We're still in the Thanksgiving weekend lull, so it may be hard to kick start the new week. Take it easy for a few days until the energies pick up, because there's nothing more futile than trying to work hard when the universe isn't backing you up. After November, we could use some time off.

The 3rd to the 11th is a mild planetary storm, though it's not much to write home about. The waveform varies from 356 to 479 units in strength, so the intensity levels are up markedly now. The harmonics include H12, H48 and H24, so the smoother and more constructive frequencies are dominating now. Points of emphasis include 10 to 13 and 17 to 18 degrees of each sign. There's a little more "oomph" to work with now, but nothing that will overwhelm us. The group of planets that seems to call the shots these days include Venus, Neptune and Saturn. That's kind of an odd combination, but it has a milder, more supportive feel to it. Pay attention to intuitive hints as they pop up for you. You can move into a moderate pace, but I wouldn't push yourself too hard.

The 12th to the 16th is a bit of a breathing spell for us, as the planets take a break. There waveforms are slightly less intense, ranging from 350 to 461 units. The harmonics are pretty noisy and disorganized again, shifting to H48, H12, H2 and H24. The peaks point to 10 to 11, 21 to 24, and 29 degrees of each sign. While it doesn't appear there is much going on these days, I'd keep a wary eye out. The Sun goes over Pluto on the 12th, which can often be a very disruptive influence that brings old issues to the surface. Mercury is also accenting Saturn and Neptune, adding even more "below the surface" energies to the mix. Keep an eye open for any problem areas that pop up now and give them some serious attention.

The next storm arrives on the scene from the 17th to the 22nd. The waveform grows in strength to the 360 to 496 unit range. The harmonics are a very clean mixture of H12 and H24 -- generally helpful, but it can be draining at times. Most of the energy is at 10 to 11 and 28 to 30 degrees of each sign. These few days are likely to have an somewhat "other worldly" quality to them, as the Sun and numerous other planets activate the Galactic Center. There's a large fan-shaped group of planets that are active now, including pesky Uranus at the tail end of Aquarius. You may find yourself in a dreamy mood, not wishing to be bothered by everyday concerns. Big spiritual issues may demand your focus, so give yourself a break from the mundane.
There's a giant fan forming in the sky, with planets every 30 degrees. This includes the Moon, Sun, Venus, Uranus and Mars, all in a row. I suspect that Uranus is the one to dominate this pattern, since all the other planets are personal bodies. Stay flexible and open to surprises. Approach life with your intuition, not your thinking mind. Be ready to act if the situation requires it. Most of all, don't take yourself or your position too seriously. Uranus often challenges us when our status quo becomes too stifling. If you find something in your life being blown out of the water, that's just Uranus' gentle reminder that you didn't really need it in the first place. Watch for changes in direction -- your path may head off in ways you never expected. It's all for the good in the end.

Finally, the 23rd to the end of the month is yet another storm. This pattern varies considerably in strength from 362 to 548 units, a potent Koz Alert. There's a very different pattern of harmonics these days, mostly H12, H36, H6 and H4 -- generally quite positive, though somewhat lazy. Points of emphasis include 5 to 9, 0 to 2 and 19 degrees. This is probably the most active time all month, with a large number of aspects feeding the fires. Venus is extremely active around Christmas time, extending a soft glow over the holidays. Uranus' transition into Pisces on the 30th is another time of powerful energies, including the strongest Alert all month. Things are shifting quickly as we head into 2004 -- get ready for the roller coaster!
