Energy Patterns for November 2003

Major Waveform Patterns:

Nov 1st to the 9th -- kicking off the big storm with a blast!
Nov 10th to the 16th -- reforming after a brief lull.
Nov 17th to the 21st -- stopping the action for a breather.
Nov 22nd to the 27th -- one last big blow for the month!
Nov 28th to the end of the month -- some well deserved time out finally.

An online ephemeris for the month is available.

In a broad sense, most of November is all one big planetary storm. From closer up, the storm is readily seen to wax and wane in power during the month, as planets shift in and out of the main pattern. Generally speaking, the harmonics in this storm (which relate to the types of aspects in the pattern) are quite positive and constructive. While that doesn't get us off the hook for taking responsible action, it certainly makes it easier to do so. It's good to have a helpful tailwind at our backs like this. I'd split up the month into roughly 5 separate patterns.

Nov 1st to the 9th

The 1st to the 9th is the first part of the big storm, which was just starting to brew the last few days of October. The waveform takes off into a respectable Koz Alert of 523 units of aspect strength early on the 1st, then lags in potency as low as 379 units. The harmonics include H12, H24, a touch of H48 and some miscellaneous noise -- reasonably positive, but it still has a "bite" to it. The energies are mostly focused around 11 to 14 degrees and 28 degrees of various zodiac signs -- check where this hits your birthchart. The month opens with a big bang and an important aspect for the world scene, the sextile of Jupiter and Saturn. Essentially, the big pattern that will dominate the next 8 or 9 months is here and ready for action. Get ready to move -- don't look back! There are powerful forces at work in the world around us, so you may not have complete freedom to do as you please. Try to catch the wave as it goes by and climb on board. Therešs much "below the surface" influences, subtly affecting us at unconscious levels, so keep an open mind and don't jump to conclusions.

The big storm pattern is first brewing at the end of October and then opens the month with a bang. The basic framework of this pattern is with us all of November, so it's worthwhile to get to know it well. First of all, there's a fan shaped structure of planets roughly 60 degrees apart: sextiles , trines and oppositions. These planets include Saturn in Cancer, Jupiter in Virgo, Chiron in Capricorn and Mars in Pisces. For the time being, the Sun in Scorpio is also in the picture, square to Neptune and the Moon in Aquarius. As the faster planets move around, they fill in various gaps and holes in this fan pattern, creating very powerful energies at times. The sextile between Jupiter and Saturn goes off later today, forming a potent Yod (aka, "the Finger of God") pattern with Neptune that lasts until next summer. In short, this is one heavy duty cosmic kick in the butt. However, 60 degrees is basically very easy-going energy, allowing us to channel this energy into useful directions without much effort. If you don't catch the wave right away, don't panic -- there's plenty of opportunities in November to join in. You may not be in control all the time (there's much unconscious activity under the surface), but the surprises are pleasant. Just get moving.

Nov 10th to the 16th

After fizzling out a bit, the storm reforms from the 10th to the 16th. The waveforms are a tad less intense, ranging between 375 and 497 units. The harmonics are mostly H12 and H24, again. The main areas of emphasis have drifted slightly towards 12 to 16 degrees and 28 degrees. We're now in the thick of the new energies, so start settling in. One of the main trigger planets now is Venus, so the high flying energies may be somewhat smoother for a few days. Keep a light heart as you go about your business, mindful of your effects on others. This is also a good time for disciplined work, with a Mars-Saturn trine on the 14th.

Nov 17th to the 21st

The 17th to the 21st is a brief slowdown in the action. The energies cool off some, ranging between 366 and 465 units -- quite moderate. The harmonics are erratic and ill-formed, but H24 and H48 poke through often -- the energies are becoming rough and inchoate. There's a bit of emphasis around 12 to16 and 27 to 29 degrees. Looks are deceiving -- the storm is only taking a breather now. The active trigger planet now is Mercury, making this an excellent time for some non-demanding mental work. The world may have a few unexpected surprises for you when the Sun is square Uranus on the 21st. If you find yourself butting heads with people, it's probably a good idea to back off and see if their perspective has some merit. Your energies should be high, so put them to good use.

Nov 22nd to the 27th

The 22nd to the 27th shows the storm reforming, although it's looking a bit ragged these days. The intensity levels go all over the place, from 329 units (barely breathing) to 516 on the 24th (a low Koz Alert). The harmonics are H24, H4 and H48, all pretty rough and demanding. The peaks continue to drift, focusing on 16 to 20 and 28 to 30 degrees. Things could get really interesting around this time, especially after the new moon on the 23rd. One of the most prominent planets these days is Pluto, so "the dark side" of people should be coming up regularly (watch Iraq in particular). Be extra careful around the 26th, when there's a menacing square between Mars and Pluto. While unlikely, this is an aspect that screams danger and violence. A little diplomacy and tact can go a long way. Delve deeply into your true motivations and be willing to make some changes. Ego games are apt to get rather ugly -- just a warning.

Nov 28th to the end of the month

The 28th to the end of the month is the first real relief from all the storm energy. The waveform collapses into the weak transition level, 305 to 396 units -- absolutely no "oomph!" here. The harmonics consist of H48, H24 and a lot of noise -- not much structure here to utilize. What little emphasis that exists is clustered at 16 to 18, 12, and 24 to 27 degrees. Time to crash! Kick back and relax -- it's Thanksgiving weekend, after all. There's no use putting out a big effort when there's no wind in your sails. This transition energy continues into early December.
