Energy Patterns for October 2003

Major Waveform Patterns:

Oct 1st to the 3rd -- leftovers from late September.
Oct 4th to the 11th -- the big storm of the month.
Oct 12th to the 14th -- a brief break in the action.
Oct 15th to the 20th -- gearing up for the next round.
Oct 21st to the 25th -- the next storm kicks in.
Oct 26th to the 29th -- another weak transition period.
Oct 30th to the end of the month -- heading into November craziness!

An online ephemeris for the month is available.

The task of looking for typical waveforms this month is pretty tricky, because it always seems to be changing on us. Without splitting too many hairs in my analysis, I still wound up with 7 different patterns. Most of them only last about 4 or 5 days before giving way to the next pattern, so there's a lot of stopping and starting going on during October. Generally speaking, the energies are moderate in strength and hence easier to work with, but stressful harmonics can make matters somewhat challenging at times. Get ready to improvise a lot.

Oct 1st to the 3rd

The 1st to the 3rd are the leftovers from a brief storm at the end of September. The waveform starts out strong, peaking at 511 units (low Koz Alert) on the 1st, but quickly crashes, going as low as 329 units (no "oomph" whatsoever). The harmonics are extremely irregular, although H36 seems to pop through often. The energies are generally focused around 11, 28 to 30, and 19 degrees of various zodiac signs. The star of this show is undoubtedly Pluto, assisted by Mercury, Venus and on the 1st, the Moon. It's a good time to get below the surface and look at that stuff you normally ignore. In particular, it may be possible to clear up emotional issues, assuming you can communicate them clearly. Keep it light however!

Oct 4th to the 11th

The 4th to the 11th is the big storm of the month. The waveform varies in strength from 350 to 541 units, the most powerful blast this month. The harmonics are a blend of H24, H8 and H6 -- mostly stressful and challenging, but not completely so. The major points of emphasis are 18 and 28-30 degrees still. This is a big mental wakeup call this week. Mercury and the Sun are connecting with the continuing Mars-Uranus conjunction , creating a lot of motion and stimulation. Mental work is favored, though the physical side demands its due as well. Be open to novel influences coming in from left field.

Oct 12th to the 14th

The 12th to the 14th is a brief, low key transition period between storms. The waveform cools off to the 364 to 438 unit range -- not much juice here. The harmonics include H48 and H12 -- rather scattered and disorganized, but not truly difficult. Energies are spread across many degrees, though 11-12 degrees stand out. Not much going on these few days, so it's best to kick back and recharge your batteries a bit. With Neptune prominent, you may be in a dreamy mood anyway. It helps to give creative expression to such moody trends, but don't fault yourself if you just want to relax instead.

Oct 15th to the 20th

The 15th to the 20th is the buildup to the next round of activity. The waveforms increase in strength to the 342 to 490 unit range. Harmonics shift rapidly to a mix of H12, H6 and H48 -- much more positive than we've seen in some time. Most of the power is concentrated at 9 to 11 and 28 to 30 degrees of various zodiac signs. Many of the potent planets these days (which include Neptune, Jupiter and Venus) are quite pleasant in their effects. This is a good, upbeat, optimistic period, a time of looking for new possibilities and enjoyable experiences. Try to stay focused on your tasks, however, since there's also some good trends for getting work done. Don't let this period pass you by without taking advantage of it!

Oct 21st to the 25th

The 21st to the 25th is the guts of this second storm period. The waveform is solid, but not overwhelming, in the moderate power region of 359 to 454 units. The harmonics are mostly H24 and H12 -- moderately demanding, but with a silver lining here and there. Points of emphasis include 12, 18 and 28-30 degrees. The optimism of the previous period is modified now by a stuck or static quality, as Saturn and Neptune are both standing still. There's a feeling of urgency to do something, but this is not the time for big movement. Store up good ideas and insights until a time when the energies are flowing your way. Wind down old activities, as the new moon on the 25th opens up new doors.

Oct 26th to the 29th

The 26th to the 29th is another weak transition period. The waveform diminishes to the 333 to 435 unit levels. Harmonics change to H48 and H12 again -- scattered, but mostly positive. The energy is focused at a number of degrees: 4 to 7, 11 to 13, and 18. In terms of aspects, this is a very quiet period, except for the large number of parallels between the Sun, Mercury, Mars, Moon and Uranus. That group of parallels may make this a deceptively busy time, with more than a few surprises. If the activity passes you by, take some down time and recoup your energies...

Oct 30th to the end of the month

That's because the 30th to the end of the month is the buildup for a new storm that kicks off November. The waveform picks up sharply, moving from 408 to 480 units (and soon hitting a Koz Alert on Nov 1). The harmonics are H24 and H6 -- demanding, but useful. The peaks are focused at 12 and 28 degrees, once again. It's kind of hard to describe this energy except to say there is a lot of it. There's a large group of planets combining forces now and they are apt to make quite an impact, especially on the larger global scene. Get ready for November!
