With the demise of the Grand Cross pattern, it's awfully hard to get up a big head of steam anymore. There is an outer planet backbone in effect, with Saturn, Chiron and Uranus closely connected and Pluto on the sidelines. This is triggered into action occasionally, especially as the faster planets go through 12-17 degrees of Gemini and Cancer. Given the overall chaos in the sky, these "storms" rarely amount to much. There are 4 main energy patterns this month.
Jul 1st to the 10th |
The 1st to the 10th is a mild storm based on this backbone, a kind of retread of the Grand Cross pattern. The waveform is mostly weak to moderate in its intensity levels, varying from 325 to a high of 494 units in strength. The harmonics are a complex mixture of H6, H12, H4, H24 and H48 -- progress is possible, but there are plenty of distractions along the way. The peaks in this waveform drift from 9 degrees early on to 18 degrees later on, giving most of us some energy to work with. This is easily the most active period all month. The Sun and Venus are both important trigger planets, while Mars is gradually moving out of the way. People may be moody or short tempered, easily offended. It's best to take a more sober and low key approach. This energy peaks on the 5th, so the country as a whole is heavily influenced and not in a constructive way.

The 11th to the 18th is a noisy transition period after this storm. The waveform is mostly weak and scattered, ranging from 307 to 421 units. The harmonics are H48, H24 and H12 -- mostly difficult and stressful. The areas of emphasis are 28-30, 15-17 and 22 degrees of each sign. There's not much going on these days, so it's hard to get much done. Transition times are usually for R&R anyway, assuming the world gives you some time off (not guaranteed). The dominant influence now is a curious grouping of Sun, Venus, Mars and Neptune. This is most noticeable, perhaps, when the goes over Neptune on the 15th. Neptune gives a dreamy, romantic feeling to everything he touches, and the Venus-Mars trine is an excellent aspect for romantic love in its own right. Take notice of any relationships that are prominent now -- they may be more important than they seem at first. Jupiter moves into Leo on the 16th, making everyone feel a bit larger than life. Don't get too puffed up.
Jul 19th to the 25th |
The 19th to the 25th is a mild, but difficult storm. The waveform is moderate strength, ranging from 333 to 457 units. The harmonics are H24, H48 and H12 -- the more challenging harmonics are dominating the waveform. The focal areas are 13-16 and 28-30 degrees. We're back to the usual backbone planets, which Mercury in Cancer turns into a wide T-Square. You may run into some ideas that clash with your deeply held beliefs, but can't be easily dismissed. It's a good time to do some mental housecleaning anyway. With Uranus and Saturn, two of the backbone planets, standing still, this clash between the same-old and the radical-new is hard to miss. Don't expect things to go smoothly, however. H24 is known for making life stressful and difficult. Again, keep your feet on the ground and be sensible -- it might help some.
Jul 26th to the 31st |
Finally, the period from the 26th to the end of the month is weak and noisy once more. The waveform varies from 298 (practically flat-lined) to 423 units (low energy), so we're basically running on fumes now. The harmonics are H48, H6 and H24 -- weak, scattered, unfocused, with only a hint of constructive tendencies. The strong spots are 15-17 and 1-5 degrees. Not much happening, again. The new moon on the 26th is linked with Mars and Jupiter, so you might be more energetic than normal. Venus is forming a T-Square with the backbone planets. Feelings may be upset or unusual, or perhaps you find yourself attracted to something or someone that typically wouldn't catch your eye. Neptune also casts its moody influence on your emotions. This meandering mood continues into early August.
