Apr 1st to the 8th -- a potent storm to accent the Pluto station.
Apr 9th to the 16th -- a weak transition period.
Apr 17th to the 23rd -- the Saturn-Uranus storm kicks in.
Apr 24th to the 30th -- the storm is breaking up.
An online ephemeris for the month is available. Check Current Transits, too.
April looks like a fairly typical picture of storms followed by weaker transition periods. The first storm, based on the Pluto gang, kicked off in late March already, while the second storm at mid-month is more an expression of the Saturn-Uranus-Neptune trio. A strong H12 seems to dominate the waveform for both these storms, considerably softening the energies and making them more useful for us. I see 4 main energy patterns this month.
Apr 1st to the 8th |
The 1st to the 8th is a strong, well formed storm that kicked in during the final days of March. The waveform varies in strength from a meek 320 units to a potent Koz Alert of 542 (on the 2nd) -- quite a range in intensity! The harmonics are a mixture of H12, H4, H24 and some H48 towards the end of the period -- generally constructive, but with some difficult overtones. The energies are concentrated at 28-29, 2 shifting to 8 and 18 degrees of each zodiac sign -- see where this hits your own birthchart. This period is the last hurrah of the Pluto gang for some time. Pluto, Saturn and Mars are joined by Mercury, Venus and Jupiter, with the Moon kicking it all into the Alert region every few days. Considering that Pluto is at his station on the 6th, the Dark Lord is pretty much running this show. Just below the surface of our normal social interactions is this deeper subtext, more in touch with our unspoken nature. This is the start of some trends that last throughout the summer, culminating in some needed "housecleaning" of your life by August or September. Pay attention to what's going on now, as the issues will only intensify over the coming months. At least planets like Venus and Jupiter are softening the blow, so I don't expect this time to be all that demanding.
The first week of April is still dominated by Pluto and friends, although their influence is waning quickly. This Koz Alert (by no means the only one this week) occurs as the Moon goes over Pluto. There's help from Mercury, Venus, Mars, Saturn and Jupiter, pretty much most of the solar system. Needless to say, this is a powerful but complicated pattern that affects us on many levels. I've had many conversations lately that start out with "Why are people freaking out so much?" -- I suspect it's storms like this that are putting people on edge. After 3 or 4 months of this, it will be nice to take a break from the Pluto Gang. Try to put this time to use.
Apr 9th to the 16th |
The 9th to the 16th is a weak, noisy transition time. The waveform cools off to the 329 to 457 unit region -- low to moderate energies that lend us little support. The harmonics include H48, H4 and H12 -- a scattered kind of energy that is somewhat irritating. The areas of focus are 27-29, 5-8 and 11-13 degrees of each sign. There's very little going on in a coordinated fashion, although Saturn is changing sides and joining up with Uranus and Neptune now. Speaking of, Uranus and Neptune are having their final semisextile on the 13th, the "big aspect" that dominates this period. The mood is somewhat more light hearted and upbeat. You may feel a need to have some fun or break out of some ruts, though getting up the energy to do so is another matter. You may be more introspective than usual -- outer planets tend to do that. Catching your second wind may not be all that bad of an idea.
Apr 17th to the 23rd |
The 17th to the 23rd is the second big storm of April. The waveform increases in power once more, varying from 383 to 529 units. The harmonics are H12, H48 and H4 -- mostly positive, but with some difficulties still. The energies of this waveform are undoubtedly focused at 27-29 degrees of each sign. The Sun is connecting up with Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Chiron this week before heading into Taurus (on the 19th). In addition, Mercury is at its retrograde station and Chiron moves into Pisces. Needless to say, this storm will feel much different than the Pluto show. Most of the heavier energies are dissipating and a lighter, more optimistic mood prevails. Intuition is bouncing off the walls, while the more mundane thinking mind is slowing down. This means it's a good time to be inspired by new ideas and their possibilities, but I wouldn't put them into action until you've given them a good second looking over in a few weeks (Mercury goes direct again on May 11). It's better to put existing plans into play, rather than try out something new and untested.
Apr 24th to the 30th |
The 24th to the end of the month is a relatively weak, choppy ministorm. The waveform is much less intense now, only 364 to 479 units. The harmonics are mostly a fat H12 and lots of H48, giving the waveform a decidedly fuzzy appearance. The regions most affected are 26-29, 6-9, and 23 degrees of each sign. There doesn't seem to be any planet "in control" of this pattern -- there's a little bit of everything for everybody. Pluto is receiving contacts from the Sun, Mercury and Venus at various times, so you may find his quiet transformative forces at work in the background. Jupiter is part of this picture as well -- his sunny disposition always helps improve the overall mood. The "big aspect" this week is the 4th Saturn-Uranus opposition, a long lasting tug-o-war between the status quo and a "go for it!" desire to change. If you can discern the prevailing direction in all this, you're more perceptive than I am. It looks pretty confused to me. This mess continues into early May.
