Apr 1st to the 11th -- the end of March storm continues.
Apr 12th to the 20th -- a long, rambling transition.
Apr 21st to the end of the month -- a Yod fuels the next storm.
An online ephemeris for the month is available.
April is basically a pair of fairly strong planetary storm patterns separated by a long, aimless transition period at mid-month. During the storm patterns, the peaks look rather ragged and broken up, an indication that the aspects connecting planets into groups are wide and loose. Perhaps this is a blessing, as it tends to blunt the intensity of the energies down to something easier to handle. There are basically 3 waveforms to look at, though there are many sub-phases within each pattern.
Apr 1st to the 11th |
The 1st to the 11th is the first storm of the month. The intensity levels are pretty mild most of the time, roughly 350 to 450 units of strength, though there are a few days when the power is turned on higher, including a low Koz Alert of 506 units on the 4th. The major harmonics in the waveform include H6, H12, H48 and some H24 towards the end of the storm -- generally quite positive in spite of some occasional rough spots. The energies are focused at around 12 to 17 and 22 to 25 degrees of each zodiac sign -- check whether this hits any of the planets in your own birthchart. The back bone of this pattern is a loose T-square configuration of the Sun and Venus opposite Jupiter and square Saturn, with help from time to time from Mars, Neptune and the Moon. This is a time to be working on how you fit into society in general and the interactions you have with others on a daily basis. It's likely you'll find all sorts of problems or loose ends that get in the way of you truly prospering and succeeding. Saturn is forcing us to clean up some old messes that have been going on for awhile before Jupiter can deliver his rewards for your efforts. Remember Saturn is not going to give you any slack if you don't put in an honest effort, especially as he's just coming off his direct station of Mar 21. On the positive side, if you work diligently, the easy harmonics promise some useful results. The mental realm is still in a fog, since Mercury is backing up to a direct station on the 12th. Make the most of this time.
This lively little Koz Alert is the result of a wide, but critical T-square consisting of the Sun and Venus opposite Jupiter, all of them widely square Saturn. In addition, Mars, the Moon and Neptune are in a tight knot over in Aquarius, forming aspects to all the T-square planets. That's enough to generate quite a planetary storm! When Jupiter and Saturn are both active, especially in a harsh aspect like a square, there's likely to be a problem involving some of your social obligations. If you've been cutting too many corners, your past may be catching up to you. Saturn is rarely accomodating of not playing reasonably or by the rules and he can get very insistent when he finally calls your bluff. Of course, if you straighten up, he'll generally get off your back. Saturn is a stern teacher, not a tyrant. There may be a hint of legal action in the air or some kind of financial issue that is not in order. Whatever the problem, the storm this week is a good time to get your affairs in shape. Believe me, it's easier to fix things now than it will down the road. Work slowly, patiently and diligently, but don't push yourself too hard. Mars is conjunct Neptune, which tends to sap your energy. Above all, do things for the right reasons. Neptune requires a high minded approach. Anything less will create circumstances down the road that will not be what you intended. Keep working. Progress is easily achieved, despite the hardships.
Apr 12th to the 20th |
Apr 21st to the end of the month |
The 21st to the end of the month is another storm, probably more significant than the one earlier in the month. The waveform goes in strength from a humble 320 units as this storm gets organized to a potent blast of 527 units on the 28th, quite a dynamic range. The harmonics are a mixture of H24, H12, H6 and H48, with the stressful frequencies more dominant now, so this could be a rough period at times. The peaks are focused rather crisply at 8 to 10 and 22 to 24 degrees. By and large, this is a more powerful and complex configuration than the first storm. It includes the planets Jupiter (which seems to be the most accented planet now), Uranus, Mercury, Sun and Venus, along with the Moon at times. At least these planets are some of the easier ones to deal with, though Uranus can be quite a pesky character to endure. This may be a time when finding the silver linings in dark clouds becomes a high art form. The pace is fast and full of surprises, with a potential to make things work exceedingly well. It's only a potential, however, and depending upon the choices you make, it could go either way. Stay on the high minded path for best results. This storm is weakening as we head into May.
The second storm reaches its peak activity on the evening of the 28th. Yes, it may be rocky and demanding now, but it's also an exciting and stimulating time. A Venus-Uranus-Jupiter Yod is very active now, enhanced by the Sun, Moon and Mercury. Make the most of this energy while you can! The storm is quickly diminishing after this last blast and is mostly dissipated by May 2.
