Energy Patterns for October 2004

Major Waveform Patterns:

Oct 1st to the 4th -- return of the fat, fuzzy H12.
Oct 5th to the 10th -- a crazy, confusing "wannabe" storm.
Oct 11th to the 16th -- a transitional time looking for direction.
Oct 17th to the 21st -- a demanding period with little intensity.
Oct 22nd to the 27th -- lost in a haze as Neptune stands still.
Oct 28th to the end of the month -- the start of a weak storm.

An online ephemeris for the month is available.

October is one of those months when the A5 Spectrum technique is rather worthless. The waveforms this month are almost always weak and formless, typical of disorganized and unsupportive planetary energies. The changes from one energy pattern to another consist more of a change in harmonics than strength, so the differences between one period and the next may be pretty hard to detect. In fact, the larger "patterns" I'll describe below may be swamped by the day-to-day changes in the energies, which are highly variable now. It may be hard to stay focused and motivated with such volatility going on, as the world repeatedly shifts direction and distracts your attention. Keep your expectations low -- this is not a time for big plans. I see 6 main patterns in October.

Oct 1st to the 4th

The 1st to the 4th is a continuation of a weak pattern that closes out September. The waveform itself is on the low energy side, roughly 345 to 457 units of aspect strength. The harmonics are a mixture of H12, H48 and what I refered to as a "fat, fuzzy H12" last June. What little energy that exists is focused around 6 to 9, 3 and 12 degrees of various zodiac signs. There's very little planetary activity during this period -- we're really running on autopilot most of the time. However, judging from the harmonics, this is also one of the more positive and easy-going patterns all month, which doesn't sound very encouraging. Get done what you can and don't sweat the rest. There are "countercurrents" distracting you from all you goals -- that's just life for now. Go easy on yourself.

Oct 5th to the 10th

The 5th to the 10th is almost a planetary storm, minus the towering peaks in the waveform. If anything, the waveform is less powerful than the preceding period, ranging from 328 to 450 units. The harmonics are somewhat more defined, mostly H24, H12 and a touch of H36 -- life is a bit rougher now. Points of emphasis include 1 to 4, 7 to 10, 18 to 20 and 12 to 14 degrees, which is a polite way of saying the energies are all over the map. There's a bit more action going on these days, with the planets Uranus and Neptune on center stage. That's another way of saying life is chaotic and confusing. Don't be content to judge situations on their surface appearances, since there's more going on behind the scenes than you can imagine. If you get dragged off in different directions than you originally planned, so be it. The detours may be more interesting and useful than your initial directions.

Oct 11th to the 16th

The 11th to the 16th is another disorganized transitional period between "storms", though it is by no means weak. In fact, the waveform is generally stronger (326 to 461) than the previous "storm". The harmonics consist of mainly H48 and H24, with a lot of nondescript noise. Emphasized degrees include 0 to 3, 11 to 13, and 20 to 26 degrees, again quite a spread. Most of the action now is rather mundane and without direction, with the exception of the solar eclipse on the 13th. It's likely that the world is a confused landscape now, since your attention is being diverted in new directions every few hours, making focused activity much harder. Take a wait and see attitude as much as possible until the new prevailing flow reveals itself to you.

Oct 17th to the 21st

The 17th to the 21st is a paradoxical waveform, more organized but less potent than anything so far. The waveform is so lacking in strength (317 to 419) that it's practically on life support. The harmonics are a complex mixture of H48, H24, H8, H12 and a touch of noise -- scattered, difficult and stressful. The areas of focus consist of 1 to 4, 12 to 14 and 18 to 21 degrees. Two planets that seem to crop up often now are Saturn and Pluto, two of the most difficult bodies around. This is likely to be a stressful and demanding time, especially if you're prone to cutting corners. Realize this is a time requiring discipline and integrity. Any shortcomings on your part will undoubtedly boomerang back on you, so it's in your own interest to walk the straight and narrow. There's no free lunch these days.

Oct 22nd to the 27th

The 22nd to the 27th is noisy and chaotic. There's very little energy in this waveform, which ranges from 295 (almost as low as I've ever seen in 20 years) to 447 units. The harmonics are mostly a noisy jumble of H48, H36, H12 and nondescript noise. What little focus there is falls mostly around 19 to 20, 25 to 27, 2 to 3 and 12 to 14 degrees. With Neptune standing still on the 24th, there's a confusing haze over everything, so don't assume you really understand what's happening. It also tends to sap your energy and make it hard to focus your attention. Among the other planets "active" now (Saturn, Uranus, Pluto), there's little you can call friendly. This is the best period all month for crawling under a rock and resting. I really doubt you can accomplish much under such circumstances anyway, so why not retreat awhile and recharge your batteries.

Oct 28th to the end of the month

Finally, the 28th to the end of the month is another attempt at a weak storm pattern. There's an increase in energy (366 to 447), but not significantly. Again, the big change is in the harmonics, with a well formed mixture of H24, H12, H48 and some noise taking the stage. Much of the energy is focused at 19 to 21 and 5 degrees -- at least there's some consistency in this pattern. Pluto and Jupiter seem to dominate this period, which makes life a bit easier if you play by the rules. However, H24 is rarely easy-going, so expect your share of bumps and bruises. This pattern continues into early November, which includes Election Day -- surprises may be in store.
