Energy Patterns for March 2004

Major Waveform Patterns:

Mar 1st to the 10th -- a long, drifting storm.
Mar 11th to the 14th -- some time off.
Mar 15th to the end of the month -- a rather disorganized storm.

An online ephemeris for the month is available.

The pattern of waveforms in March is not very clear cut. There's the tail end of the February storm pattern and a transition period in the first half of the month. However, the last half is this long, extremely changeable energy that never picks up much steam and occasionally peters out -- it's tough to make much sense of this period. Remembering that waveforms can be quite volatile in the short run, let's look at these 3 separate waveforms.

Mar 1st to the 10th

The 1st to the 10th is a (generally) mild storm, not very well organized, that continues the storm activity of late February. The waveform varies in strength between 335 units of aspect strength up to 527 units, a low Koz Alert on the morning of the 4th. The harmonics in this waveform include H12, H8, H48, H24 later in the period, and H4 -- pretty rough and demanding influences for the most part. The energies are concentrated at 4 to 5, 12 to 15 and 18 to 22 degrees of each zodiac sign -- see if any planets in your birthchart fall in these regions. The backbone of this waveform is the quincunx of Jupiter and Neptune that is exact on the 3rd, highlighted by the Sun and Mercury. Despite the problems going on, this may wind up being the most light hearted part of the month. Temper your optimism with realism, as Neptune makes it too easy to create false hopes and dreams. It's a good time for intellectual work, particularly of a inspirational nature or relating to future plans -- just remember to completely work out the details at a later date. Things shift, however, around the 7th. Not only does Saturn stand still, but Mars and Mercury start aspecting Saturn and Pluto. This crowd is as nasty as the Jupiter-Neptune crowd is easy-going -- it's time to crawl out of the clouds and get back down to earth. You may be getting some instant feedback on those plans of yours.

Mar 11th to the 14th

The 11th to the 14th is a weak and noisy transition period, the pause between the action times this month. The waveform is extremely limp, ranging from 310 to 414 units -- no tailwind here! The harmonics consist of H36, H8 and H48 -- not too good, not too bad, not that we really care these days. Areas of emphasis in this waveform are around 2 to 6, 11 to 13 and 20 to 24 degrees of each sign. This time, it's the Sun and Venus accenting Saturn and Pluto. If the option is open to you, I'd refrain from action and take a mini-vacation. There's no support for doing work, making it somewhat pointless to put in a lot of effort. If you need to be around others, use a maximum amount of tact and understanding. Bruised egos and ruffled feathers are all too likely with this configuration. You're best off going within and sorting out your own emotional issues for a few days. Just make sure you take some relaxation time with it.

Mar 15th to the end of the month

The 15th to the end of the month is a long storm pattern that never seems to get its act together. The waveform ranges from 325 to 474 units in strength -- pretty moderate intensity levels, most of the time. The harmonics are a complex and everchanging mixture of H24 alternating with H48, H4, H8, H6 and some H12 the last day or two. The focal points of the energy include 0 to 4, 12 to 16 and 23 to 26 degrees. It's tough to make any generalizations about this extended period, since it seems to change so much from day to day. Once again, like the previous storm, this pattern has a split personality. The first week is tuned into Jupiter and Neptune, while the final week is more in touch with Saturn and Pluto. That means the first half is the lighter and more easy-going part of this period, but after Pluto's retrograde station on the 24th, the mood toughens up and becomes more intense. Fortunately, this storm rarely gains any strength, which makes the energies more palatable. Also, every few days, it seems the energy collapses for awhile. It's like alternating between the accelerator and the brake in rapid succession -- you never get up a good head of steam. Pace yourself and don't push yourself too hard -- burnout is a distinct possibility. This waveform seems like it's falling apart by the end of the month, leading into a quiet, noisy transition period in early April.
