Apr 1st to the 5th -- the biggest storm of the month.
Apr 6th to the 8th -- time for a low-key Pluto break.
Apr 9th to the 14th -- a little storm full of changes.
Apr 15th to the 18th -- pretty much planetary roadkill.
Apr 19th to the 21st -- brief mini-storm.
Apr 22nd to the 24th -- a pause in the action.
Apr 25th to the end of the month -- building up to the big May storm.
An online ephemeris for the month is available.
The planets seem "barely organized" throughout April, alternating between mild storm patterns and chaotic transition periods. However, this waveform picture is constantly changing, with no energy pattern lasting for more than 3 to 6 days. With so many shifts going on, it's difficult to get much done, since as soon as you get up a head of steam in one direction, things veer off in another direction. Looking at my A5 Spectrum graphs for the month, I teased out 7 distinct (more or less) energy patterns instead of the usual 4 or 5. In fact, the picture for the month may be even more complicated than that.
Apr 1st to the 5th |
Anyway, the 1st to the 5th is the most significant storm pattern of April. The waveform is moderately strong, ranging from 360 to 505 units in strength (a low Koz Alert). The main harmonics include H12, H24 and H36 -- get used to this motley combination of frequencies, because we'll see a lot of it. The main points of emphasis under these peaks is around 9-11 degrees of each zodiac sign -- see where this hits your birthchart. Despite the power in these waveforms, the energy is not very well focused. That's actually a blessing in disguise, since we have so many heavy-hitting, outer planets talking to us at once -- we have a bit of breathing room to wiggle around in. Pay special attention to the Saturn-Neptune trine on the 1st, as it's time to concentrate on wrapping up some long-term plans. Stay focused on your goals and aspirations, but be ready to pour in a lot of hard work to bring them about. Communication issues may be prominent -- be clear and precise, as the probability of confusion or misunderstanding is quite high.
This first week of April is the most powerful period all month. There's a large group of planets at work here. The backbone of the pattern consists of the slow-moving planets Jupiter, Saturn, Chiron and Neptune. This backbone is active all month, creating nearly every strong waveform we'll see. At this time, they are assisted by the Sun, Moon and Mercury, with Venus about to join in. It's time to put in the effort to wrap up old projects and clear the field for new upcoming trends. There's a large amount of constructive energy to tap into here -- use it!
Apr 6th to the 8th |
During the 6th to the 8th, this pattern takes a breather. The waveform drops off into the sluggish 350-440 unit range. The harmonics include H6, H36 and some static-y noise that's hard to describe. The points of emphasis include 9-11, 16 and 27 degrees of each sign. With this much 36th harmonic, you'd expect the energy to be rather laid-back. However, there's a fair amount of Pluto energy going on and the Dark Lord is known as an intensity junkie. It would be best to direct his force into a mental or inspirational groove, if you want to avoid the more troublesome sides of his nature. Unconscious drives are powerful these days, which can easily trip up your plans.
Apr 9th to the 14th |
The 9th to the 14th is the next little storm. The waveform is still in the 350-440 unit region, with a familiar blend of harmonics (H12, H24, H36). The main peaks move from 9 to 12 degrees during this time, with a secondary set of peaks around 28 degrees. This seems to be an exciting, active time, with Mercury, Mars and Uranus particularly active. Think fast, work fast and play fast now. Don't get bogged down in too mundane matters, as this can be a very productive time on projects of your choosing. There are some significant shifts in direction around the 12th and 13th (new moon, Mercury enters Taurus, Mars enters Gemini), so stay flexible and be ready to change course.
Apr 15th to the 18th |
In my notes, I called the 15th to the 18th a "white noise transition" -- that's not much of a compliment. The waveform weakens (320 to 420 units); the mostly stressful harmonics include H48, H24 and some noise that I can't make sense of. There's some emphasis at 10, 4 and 28 degrees, but the overall effect is mostly chaos. This is probably a good time to crawl under a rock and take a siesta. During a transition period like this, there's no planetary "oomph" to back you up, so you're wasting your efforts by trying too much now. Get some rest and take some time off for yourself. The R & R will do you good.
There's no life in this graph. It's dead, Jim. This is one of the transitions between storm patterns. It's time to take it easy, get some rest, and let the world take care of itself for a few days. Shortly, we'll get busy again.
Apr 19th to the 21st |
The 19th to the 21st is a brief mini-storm. The energy levels are a bit higher (360 to 450 units) and the harmonic picture consists of H12, H24 and the usual weird noise. We're still looking at 11 and 28 degrees as the main focal points. With the shift towards H24 and away from H36, the overall mood of this period is more stressful and challenging than the previous storms. If any one planet stands out now, it's probably Pluto again. Pace yourself and try to avoid harsh scenes with people you need to work with. It should settle down some after the 20th, when the Sun moves from fiery Aries into slow-and-steady Taurus.
Apr 22nd to the 24th |
The 22nd to 24th is less a transition period than a pause in the action as the storm catches its second wind. The waveform is somewhat weaker once again (340-400), with H12, H36 and more noise for harmonics. The action is still at 11 and 28 degrees. When you shift from one planetary storm to another, the planets need some time to reshuffle their positions, like a celestial game of musical chairs. Here on earth, this time is likely to feel like we're shifting gears, moving from one group of activities to a new one, especially with Uranus and Pluto so active. Start looking for the clues as to your new directions. And take some time to relax -- the atmosphere now is more supportive than it was the preceding 2 weeks.
Apr 25th to the end of the month |
Finally, the 25th to the end of the month is the kickoff of a major storm pattern that really takes hold in the first part of May. The energies are still reasonable and mild the rest of April (350-450), but they will pick up sharply in May. The harmonics are mostly H12, H24 and some noise, focused at 8-11, 21 and 28 degrees. "The Giant" is waking up from his winter nap! The pattern now is generally constructive and helpful, although the difficulties can still rise up now and then. There's an emphasis on Mars, Jupiter and Neptune going on. Your optimism may be on the rise, but it may be hard to get motivated. Neptune seems to dull the competitive side of Mars, so direct your actions to areas where your ego isn't on the line. Selfless activity may be especially beneficial now.
