Mar 1st to the 9th -- the low energy continues.
Mar 10th to the 20th -- the first storm pattern in 6 weeks!
Mar 21st to the 23rd -- the storm is breaking up.
Mar 24th to the end of the month -- back in the doldrums.
An online ephemeris for the month is available.
At first glance, the energy pattern in March looks pretty simple. The A5 Spectrum shows a lot of "flat line" looking graphs, followed by a mild storm, and ending up with more weak and noisy stuff. The trouble with noisy graphs, however, is they change so quickly day-to-day, even hour-to-hour. This rapid change makes for an energy that is erratic and unpredictable. As soon as you concentrate on one thing, something else comes along and sidetracks you. It also makes it difficult to make sweeping generalizations about these time periods -- I can tell you the major themes, but the little sub-plots of the day may be all you really notice. For the purposes of discussion, let's break up March into 4 main energy patterns.
Mar 1st to the 9th |
The 1st to the 9th is more of this "flat line" energy that we saw so much of in February. The waveform is definitely anemic, struggling around in the 310 to 400 unit area of the graphs. The harmonics include H36, H24, H12 and H48 -- mostly demanding and unproductive noise, although it may be difficult to get too worked up over the problems. What little power there is in these waveforms is focused in the 4-7 and 22-25 degree areas of each zodiac sign. It seems like this is a gestation period of sorts, a time to prepare for what comes next. Partly, this means getting some rest and letting your body regain its energy. Most people I've talked to lately are complaining of stress and fatigue. These low-energy waveforms are not a time to put out a great effort -- pace yourself slowly and methodically. Just realize that there are many distractions out there. Take the important things one at a time and let the inessential issues wait on the back burner awhile. If you take on too many projects at once, you're wind up not getting much done on any of them (and still tired!).
Traditionally, March is said to come in like a lion or like a lamb. In astrological terms, it comes in like a wimp. These noisy, lackluster waveforms are quite typical of the entire first 9 days of the month. There's no discernible energy here. The important aspects between planets (the "astrological fuel" that creates planetary influences on us) are few and far between. If anything, with 3 planets making stations this month, there's a feeling of stagnation or being held back that affects us all. In short, it's difficult to get anything moving in your life right now, because there's so little support from the outer world for your efforts and plenty of distractions. Take it easy and get some rest. If you're like most people, you've been under a long period of stress and could stand some R & R. We could all use a vacation about now. Don't push yourself too hard.
Mar 10th to the 20th |
The 10th to the 20th is the bulk of the storm this month. The waveforms are considerably stronger, roughly 370 to 518 units (with a couple of low Koz Alerts). The harmonics are a complicated mix of H12, H24, H48 and H36 -- generally constructive, but somewhat ragged around the edges. The main peaks start out around 5 degrees of each sign, but drift over to about 11 degrees eventually, making this entire region an emphasized area. The greater portion of all the astrological activity this month happens during this storm. It's based on a complicated pattern of at least 7 or 8 planets, making it hard to pin down its personality. In general terms though, this is probably the most productive period since January, so take advantage of it accordingly. Given the roles of Saturn and Jupiter, there are strong social or business overtones here, which is great if you work for yourself. Mars gives you the stamina to work hard until the task is completed. However, Uranus and Neptune add a quirky, not-of-this-world quality to the proceedings that make for some interesting detours in your original plans. Donšt let this useful period pass you by!
Mar 21st to the 23rd |
The 21st to the 23rd is the tail end of this storm. My first inclination was to consider these two periods as one waveform, but there are enough differences between them that I broke it in two. The energy is much less intense, roughly 370 to 440 units. The harmonics are more chaotic, mostly H12 and H48. And the main peaks are rapidly drifting through the 15 to 19 degree region of each sign, a marked departure from the earlier peak positions. Here's the "letdown" phase of the storm, when the powerful energies fall apart and we go back to the noisy stuff. Wrap up your projects and cut back on your efforts, because the helpful tailwind that we've been riding is dying down. There's a lot of Pluto energy just now, especially since he's sitting at his retrograde station. It's important to look behind the scenes and see what's really going on at a deeper level. Situations are being set in motion now that will last for 5-6 months and the sooner you sort out what they are, the easier the longterm outlook is. This is a good time to let go of parts of your life that you've outgrown -- check which house of your birthchart contains Pluto's retrograde zone (17Sa38 to 14Sa54) for a clue.
Mar 24th to the end of the month |
Finally, the 24th to the end of the month is more of this aimless, noisy energy we've seen so much of. The strength values of this period are all over the place, roughly 340 to 447 units -- weak to moderate influences at work here. The harmonics are mostly H48 and H24 -- unfocused, scattered and more than a bit stressful. There are two broad bands where the power is most noticeable, around 7-10 and 19-24 degrees. It may feel like you're caught between your ideal plans for some situation (Neptune) and the hard core realities of it (Saturn). It's a time to keep your feet on the ground in order to make your dreams come true. We are building up during this last period to the last trine of Saturn and Neptune on Apr 1, assisted by the Sun. How have your plans been progressing the last 9 months? It's time to reassess your directions as we head into a busy spring.
